Abstrak Aqshal Dilham F 331 18 015 "Review of Simulation and Experimental Deflection in ST 37 Steel with Variation of C Profile Shape" (Guided by Naharuddin). This study aims to determine how much deflection occurs in ST 37 steel with variations in the shape of profile C simulatively and experimentally. This research uses material with a type of steel plate thickness of 1.0 mm which is formed into three forms of profile C, namely profile C with canal lips, profile C lower canal lips , and profile C without canal lips. Deflection testing uses a clasp type of pedestal and a centralized load with a load of 20 kg. The researchwas carried out with two tests, namely experimental conducted at the Materials and Measurement Testing Laboratory and also simulation using Software Inventor to draw test specimens and imported into ANSYS Workbench 16.0 to perform numerical simulation testing. The results showed that the lowest deflection was in the form of Profile C with the lip of the canal with a value obtained of 2.99 mm ( Experimental), and 2.77 mm (Simulation). Then for the deflection results produced in the C profile of the lower canal lip of 3.24 mm (Experimental), and 2.84 mm (Simulation). The maximum deflection value was obtained in the p rofil C form without the canal lip with a value of 4.17 mm in experimental testing while for simulated testing the resulting deflection value was 3.02 mm . The use of the lip canal in profile C can increase the level of stiffness and strength against the load applied.
