Risaldi Toding, F 331 17 044, Mechanical Engineering S1 Study Program "EFFECT OF COCONUT WATER COOLING CURRENT AND MEDIA ON THE BENDING STRENGTH OF ST 60 WELDING STEEL”. (Supervised Awal Syahrani Sirajuddin). This study aims to determine the effect of variations in current and cooling media after undergoing the welding process with the SMAW welding method. The electrode used is E6013 with a diameter of 2.6 mm. The type of seam used is V seam with an angle of 60°. The currents used are currents of 80 Ampere, 90 Ampere, and 100 Ampere, using coconut water cooling media. The tests carried out were Face Bend bending, hardness (vikers), and microstructure testing. This research was conducted at the Materials Testing Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tadulako University. The results of the bending test obtained the highest value at a current of 100 Ampere with a value of 1.6894 Mpa, then the second highest value at a current of 90 Ampere with a value of 1.6665 Mpa, and the lowest at a current of 80 Ampere which is 1.6203 MPa. The highest average hardness value is found in the 100 Ampere current of 195.059 kg/mm² which is located in the weld area and the lowest is the current 80 which is 160.938 kg/mm² located in the base metal. . The results of the microstructure in the weld area and HAZ show that the structure of ferrite and pearlite grains is more dominant. Keywords : Coconut Water, SMAW, ST 60 Steel, Bending Strength,
