| Abstrak Indonesia is a maritime country, with an area of 6,315,222 km² of water with a coastline of 99,093 km² and a total of 13,466 islands with names and coordinates. So with a sea area of 2/3 compared to the plains, the need for labor as a sailor is also very large to take advantage of most of Indonesia's marine wealth. The increasing need for seafarers in the shipping world recently requires the government to be wiser in determining policies. In order to improve the quality of education for Indonesian seafarers, efforts are made to improve the quality of maritime education and training institutions. This study solves the problem of how the design concept and design of the Maritime Shipping High School which accommodates high school or vocational high school graduates in Palu. This research uses architectural design research methods which are processed by descriptive methods, namely the process of designing buildings. This research includes data collection, analysis, concept synthesis and design. In the design of data architecture and facts are things that become the basis or source of ideas in the design. The design of the maritime shipping high school is located in Palu, north palu sub-district, Taipa village, with a land area of 95,000m2. As for the facilities, namely management offices, classes, libraries, laboratories, and existing infrastructure facilities, namely dormitories, training pools, and mosques that are able to accommodate activities in the maritime shipping high school environment. The concept of form applied to this Maritime Shipping High School is the shape of a square, circle, triangle and the shape of a ship, where the formation has a stable, dynamic nature and the ship's shape is also strongly related to maritime affairs. |
