| Abstrak Jener Wolter Tatontos (F 221 13 134) "Maleo Bird Breeding Design as a Tourism Object in Luwuk" (supervised by Ir. Muhammad Najib, M.T) Maleo birds are endemic animals that must be protected because the maleo bird population is decreasing every year. IUCN (Internasional Unition Conrvatioan for Nature and Resources) CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) explains that the status or condition of this maleo bird is endangered. In Indonesia, especially in Central Sulawesi, the Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam or BKSDA has stated that the maleo bird population continues to decrease. And one of the factors in the reduction of the maleo bird population is caused by humans. The purpose of this tourist attraction is as a place of education and a means to introduce to the public the importance of maintaining and preserving the maleo bird population. The method used is the method of architectural design and data collection by observation, direct survey and data collection with literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the concept of maleo bird breeding which is educational is very supportive of the government's efforts to protect the population of maleo birds. Coupled with the very high interest of the community in traveling, the concept of maleo bird breeding as a tourist attraction in Luwuk is the right option.
