| Abstrak Muhammad Singgih Leisure Facility Design: Tanjung Batu Tolitoli (Supervised by Mr. Muhammad Najib and Mr. Luthfi) The objective of this research is to obtain the concept and design of the leisure facility in the area of Tanjung Batu Beach, Tolitoli regency with the existence of society’s recreative activities. One of the design principles of the leisure facility is to have an architectural element to make it attractive. Additionally, the concept of eco-architectural design will be applied in this area. This research applies the qualitative approach with the natural background that results in data in a form of words, pictures, and numbers where the tool of the study is the writer (researcher) himself. The study is conducted on-site; the research question is also found on-site, therefore it may be shifted depends on the data collected. The result of the study shows that the footprint site, Tanjung Batu Beach has a combination of beach landscape, an island, and sunset panorama in the afternoon as its natural potential. Moreover, this area is officially a recreational space thus it is potential enough to be developed as a leisure space because in terms of the authority regulations, it will boost the tourism sector in the region. From the research, it can be concluded that according to its function, curved architectural elements are widely used to create an atmosphere of joy. The eco-architectural concept is also used consistently to create the impression of general unity remains varied. Keywords: Facilites, Garden, Recreational/Leisure, Beach |
