| Abstrak ABSTRACT WOOD CRAFT GALLERY IN PALU CITY Yerfianialfar (F 221 13 005) Supervised by Dr.Ir. Fuad Zubaidi, S.T, Msc and Andi Chairul Achsan, S.P, M.Si Palu City is the capital city of Central Sulawesi Province, which has quite a large number of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises (SMEs) scattered in several places. In addition to the potential for tourist destinations, the industry can also move the wheels of trade and the economy in Palu City because it can absorb a large number of workers. As for the several types of industry in question is the type of industry that has become a potential business, namely wood crafts in the form of decorations and decorations, souvenirs or cindramata, and wood crafts as applied objects such as tables, chairs, and cabinets. However, currently UKM does not have a special place to showcase and market their handicraft products which have an impact on the difficulty of developing. The aim of the research that is to be achieved is to get a wooden handicraft gallery design in Palu City. Methods used in data collection include conducting surveys, observations, interviews and collecting data on the woodcraft industry in the form of furniture and non-furniture in the city of hammer, as a reference for the design role of the Wood Craft Gallery in Palu city. The result of this study is the design of a Wood Craft Gallery in Palu City which has facilities that can support the function of the gallery as a place to showcase and sell wooden handicraft products from UKM Kota Palu. The design of the gallery building uses a basic box shape which is then cut by imaginary lines to produce a non-monotonous shape.
