PERENCANAAN SISTEM PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DI PASAR TRADISIONAL LASOANI KECAMATAN MANTIKULORE KOTA PALU Fitriyanti, Setiyawan, Moh. Baitullah Amaludin ABSTRAK Permasalahan sampah merupakan isu lingkungan yang terus berkembang seiring dengan meningkatnya aktivitas manusia, termasuk pada kawasan pasar tradisional. Pasar tradisional merupakan salah satu pusat kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat yang berpotensi besar menghasilkan timbulan sampah, khususnya sampah organik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pasar Tradisional Lasoani, Kecamatan Mantikulore, Kota Palu, yang setiap minggu beroperasi dua kali yaitu hari Rabu dan Sabtu. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik timbulan sampah pasar Lasoani, meliputi berat, volume, serta komposisinya, sekaligus merencanakan sistem pengelolaan sampah melalui pembangunan fasilitas TPS3R.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi lapangan, wawancara, serta pengambilan sampel timbulan sampah selama delapan kali pengukuran. Pengukuran timbulan dan komposisi sampah mengacu pada SNI 19-3694-1994 menggunakan kotak pengukur. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis untuk menghitung rata-rata berat, volume, dan persentase komposisi sampah organik maupun anorganik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata timbulan sampah pasar Lasoani sebesar 253,3 kg/hari dengan volume rata-rata 2,10 m³/hari. Jenis sampah didominasi oleh sampah organik, terutama dari pedagang sayur, buah, dan ikan, sedangkan sampah anorganik sebagian besar berasal dari pedagang sembako dan pakaian. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kebutuhan lahan, direncanakan pembangunan TPS3R seluas 28 m² yang mencakup area penerimaan dan pemilahan, area pengomposan, area pencacahan, gudang penyimpanan, serta ruang pendukung. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengelolaan sampah di Pasar Lasoani masih belum optimal karena hanya terbatas pada pengumpulan dan pembuangan ke TPA tanpa adanya proses pemilahan maupun pengolahan. Dengan adanya perencanaan sistem pengelolaan terpadu melalui TPS3R, diharapkan dapat mengurangi volume sampah yang masuk ke TPA serta meningkatkan kebersihan lingkungan pasar. Traditional markets are one of the main economic centers of society that have great potential to generate waste, particularly organic waste. This study was conducted at Lasoani Traditional Market, Mantikulore District, Palu City, which operates twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The objectives of this research are to determine the characteristics of waste generation in Lasoani Market, including weight, volume, and composition, as well as to plan a waste management system through the development of a TPS3R facility. The research method employed field observation, interviews, and sampling of waste generation over eight measurement sessions. Waste generation and composition measurements referred to SNI 19-3694-1994 using a measuring box. The collected data were analyzed to calculate the average weight, volume, and percentage of organic and inorganic waste composition.The results showed that the average waste generation at Lasoani Market reached 253.3 kg/day with an average volume of 2.10 m³/day. Waste was dominated by organic components, mainly from vegetable, fruit, and fish vendors, while inorganic waste largely came from grocery and clothing vendors. Based on land requirement calculations, the planned TPS3R facility would cover an area of 28 m², consisting of a receiving and sorting area, composting area, shredding area, storage warehouse, and supporting rooms. The conclusion of this study is that waste management in Lasoani Market is still not optimal, as it is limited to collection and disposal at the landfill without sorting or processing. Through the planning of an integrated TPS3R-based management system, it is expected to reduce the volume of waste disposed to the landfill and improve the cleanliness of the market environment.
