Abstrak
Abstrak Daerah penelitian dipengaruhi oleh proses pemekaran lempeng, Formasi Lisu disusun oleh beberapa litologi batuan yang diantaranya adalah batupasir, penentuan lingkungan pengendapan menggunakan mineral penyusun batuan dengan metode analisis granulometri belum pernah dilakukan, dalam penentuan lingkungan pengendapan menggunakan metode analisis granulometri diperlukan juga perhitungan secara matematis untuk mencari nilai mean, skewness, kurtosis, dan sortasi nilai perhitungan tersebut kemudian dimasukkan kedalam klasifikasi Friedman (1961) dan Futchtbauer dan Muller (1970) dalam Reineck dan Singh (1975) untuk menentukan lingkungan pengendapan batuan yang ada didaerah penelitian. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 7 sampel batuan yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis petrografi untuk menentukan komposisi mineral secara mikroskopis dan analisis granulometri untuk membagi butir mineral berdasarkan ukuran butir mineral, adapun hasil yang didapatkan dari hasil analisis tersebut adalah batupasir pada daerah penelitian yaitu lithic greywacke dan quartzwacke (Pettijhon,1975), nilai rata – rata ukuran butir (mean) yaitu 3,6 – 3,9 pasir sangat halus, nilai sortasi lima sampel batupasir mempunyai sortasi moderatelly well sorted dengan nilai 0,64 – 0,69 batupasir sangat halus dan dua sampel moderetely sorted dengan nilai 0,71 – 0,72, nilai skewness 1 sampel coarse skewed dengan nilai -0,34 dan 6 sampel very coarse skewed dengan nilai -0,40 -0,96, sedangkan untuk nilai kurtosis satu sampel extremely leptokurtic dengan nilai 4,72 batupasir sangat halus dan enam sampel very leptokurtic dengan nilai 1,87 – 3,00. Lingkungan pengendapan daerah penelitian merupakan batupasir pantai Menurut Friedman,(1961) dalam Sengupta,(2007) serta menurut Futchtbauer dan Muller (1970) dalam Reineck dan Singh (1975) daerah penelitian masuk kedalam laut dangkal. Kata kunci : Granulometri, batupasir, petrografi, lingkungan pengendapan. Abstract The research area is affected by the process of plate expansion, Lisu formation composed by several lithological rocks such as sandstone, the determination of the deposition environment using rock constituent minerals by granulometric analysis method has never been done, in the determination of the deposition environment using granulometric analysis method is also necessary mathematical calculations to find the mean value, skewness, kurtosis, and sorting the calculation value is then included in the classification of Friedman (1961) and Futchtbauer and Muller (1970) in Reineck and Singh (1975) to determine the rock deposition environment in the research area. Samples were taken as many as 7 rock samples were analyzed using petrographic analysis to determine the mineral composition microscopically and granulometric analysis to divide the mineral grains based on mineral grain size, while the results obtained from the results of the analysis are sandstones in the research area that is lithic greywacke and quartz wacke (Pettijhon, 1975), the average value of the grain size (mean) is 3.6- 3.9 very fine – 0.69 very fine sandstones and two moderately sorted samples with values of 0.71 – 0.72, skewness value 1 coarse skewed sample with a value of - 0.34 and 6 very coarse skewed samples with a value of -0.40 -0.96, while for the kurtosis value of one extremely leptokurtic sample with a value of 4.72 very fine sandstones and six very leptokurtic samples with a value of 1.87-3.00. The sedimentation environment of the research area is coastal sandstone according to Friedman, (1961) in Sengupta, (2007) and according to Futchtbauer and Muller (1970) in Reineck and Singh (1975) the research area goes into shallow sea.
