Abstrak Safe School Zone (ZoSS) is one of the programs launched by the government through the ministry of transportation, this program aims to protect school children from the dangers of traffic accidents, by regulating the speed of vehicles that are around the school. The purpose of this research is to find out the conditions for the implementation of the Safe School Zone in Palu City and the proper handling of problems that occur in the implementation of the Safe School Zone. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of the Safe School Zone in schools in Palu City, namely, SDN 2 Palu, SD Inpres Watusampu, SDN 4 Birobuli, SDN 8 Mamboro, SMPN 20 Palu, SDN 1 Talise, SDN Tondo and SMPN 2 Hammer. The method used refers to the Decree of the Director General of Land Transportation Number SK 3582/AJ.403/DRJD/2018 and SK 3236/AJ.403/DRJD/2006. Data analysis was carried out by comparing facilities according to regulations and normal distribution statistics (Ztest), by comparing the Zcount value with the Ztable value (1.645) with a 95% confidence level for pedestrian behavior and delivery behavior along with the instantaneous speed of the vehicle. Based on the results of a comparison of existing facilities in the field with regulations, it was concluded that the Safe School Zone facilities at each school were still incomplete. Based on the results of calculating the behavior of waders, the average value of Zcount is -0.110, it is said that the behavior of waders is still classified as unsafe because the value of Zcount > Ztable. Based on the results of the calculation of the introductory behavior, the average Zcount value is 4,818, it is said that the introductory behavior is classified as safe because the Zcount value < Ztabel. From the results of calculating the instantaneous speed of the vehicle, it is said that the average speed of the vehicle meets the standard of 30 km/hour.
