Abstrak
The liquefaction that occurred in Lolu village Sigi regency was caused by an earthquake measuring 7,4 Mw with a depth of 10 km. This study aims to determine soil characteristics and liquefaction potential with the Swedish Weight Sounding test and laboratory tests in the form of grain size distribution and Atterberg limits. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out using the value of the safety factor (FS), Liquefaction Potential Index (LPI), and Probability of Liquefaction (PL). The research was conducted at 10 test points with a depth of 0,15 meters groundwater level obtained from the 2020 JICA report. The results of laboratory tests obtained from silty sand to loamy sand with good grades. Whereas in the Swedish Weight Sounding test, the Nsw values were between 0,00 – 500,00 n/m, the qa values ranged from 30,00 – 430,00 kN/m2 and the qu values ranged from 45,00 – 420,00 kN/m2. Meanwhile, if it is reviewed based on the results of the liquefaction potential evaluation method through the FS value, then there is the potential for liquefaction occur because it is in the range 0,23 – 14,25. Meanwhile, based on the LPI value, it is included in the high and very high category where liquefaction occurs with a range of 13,43 – 24,97. And based on the PL value, it is included in the category of almost certain not liquefaction and it is very likely that liquefaction will occur with a range of 0,03% - 65,41%. So it can be concluded that all test points have the potential for liquefaction to occur, where liquefaction occurs at varying depths with a depth of less than 10 meters with an earthquake acceleration limit value (amax) of 0,15 g and an earthquake magnitude of 5 Mw.
