Abstrak The river is one of the important components in the sustainability of human life and all its uses for people's lives. In general, river areas have a winding section of river water, which is the result of an erosion and deposition process by river currents. This causes changes in flow patterns in the river due to sediment imbalance. Therefore, to balance the riverbed and protect the riverbank, the T groyne was installed. This study aims to determine how the flow pattern occurs due to the T-groyne installation. The results of research and investigations show that the effect of the installation of the T groyne distance on the flow characteristics is the change in flow velocity depending on the distance and model of each groyne, thus changing the type of flow and decreasing the velocity around the T groyne. As a result of variations in distance and velocity on the characteristic Froude number flow that occurs is subcritical flow. Meanwhile, based on the Reynolds number, the flow characteristics that occur are turbulent flow. Keywords: Groyne, Flow Pattern, Riverbank |
