Abstrak
The Paneki River that overflowed due to heavy rains that flushed the Sigi Regency area on July 10, 2020 caused flooding to residential areas in hamlet II of Pombewe Village. High intensity rain events often cause flooding in riparian areas, in the form of overflowing river water which poses a threat to the surrounding community. This research was carried out with the aim of being the beginning of a flood control study in Paneki River, Biromaru District, Sigi Regency. One form of effort that can be done to overcome the problem of overflowing Paneki River is the construction of a dyke. This study aims to plan the shape and dimensions of the dyke on the Paneki River, the method used is the calculation of design rainfall, with a return period of 2, 5 10, 25 and 50 years and flood discharge Haspers method. The results of the analysis showed that the design rainfall value for the 2-year return period was 59.178 mm, 5-year return period 80.49 mm, 10-year return period 93.782 mm, 25-year return period 109.754 mm, and 50-year return period 121.164 mm. The analysis results obtained using the Q50thn plan discharge, obtained a water level value of 3.88 meters, a guard height of 0.6 m and a lighthouse width of 3 meters, so that the total height of the dyke on the Paneki River is 4.48 meters.
