Abstrak
A lot of damage of buildings due to earthquakes happen because designs of the buildings do not consider earthquake resistance aspects and do not fulfil the technical standards of earthquake resistant buildings. There are two ways to analyze earthquake loads, statically and dynamically analysis. In this final project, the designed structure is a six-storey office building, with its earthquake loads is analysed by time history method analyses, that is one of the dynamic analytic method. In time history analysis, using recordings of soil acceleration from existing quakes as earthquake loads to put in structural loads. The earthquake-resisting system used is dual system with special moment resisting frame (SMRF) and special shear wall for reinforced concrete. The materials used in design are concrete with a strength of f'c = 35 MPa, reinforcement steel BjTP Grade 24 (fy = 235 MPa), and reinforcement steel BjTS Grade 40 (fy = 390 MPa). From the result of modal analysis of the structure of building, the natural frequency of the structure in the first mode is 0,6401 seconds, while due to design earthquake load applied to the structure by using accelerogram record El Centro, San Fernando and Kobe, resulting the maximum inter-storey drift is 84,093 mm, this value is less than the maximum inter-storey drift which is 100 mm. The structural elements dimensions are uniform for every storey, main beam with the dimension of 40/60, secondary beam with the dimension of 25/40, column with the dimension of 90/90, slab with a thickness of 120 mm and shear wall with a thickness of 300 mm.
