| Abstrak ABSTRACT Ikra, Strategy to Increase Rice Production in Food Security in Palolo District, Sigi Regency. Supervised By, Effendi, Cristoporus, 2022. Rice is a food crop commodity that produces rice which plays an important role in the economic life of Indonesia. Rice as a staple food is very difficult to replace by other staples. Among them are corn, tubers, sago and other carbohydrate sources. So that the condition of rice becomes the main priority of the community in meeting the needs of carbohydrate intake which can be filling and is the main source of carbohydrates that are easily converted into energy. Rice as a food crop is consumed by approximately 90% of the total population of Indonesia for daily staples. To achieve sustainable food security, efforts to increase rice production need to be continued and increased through increasing productivity by applying better varieties and cultivation technology and expanding the planting area. with increasing planting intensity and printing or opening new rice planting areas. The research was carried out from April to June 2021. Respondents were determined using the simple random sampling method with 95 samples in this study. The data analysis is Cobb-Douglas. The results of the Cobb-Douglas analysis show that the value of Fcount = 65.984 > Ftable = 2.32 at = 5% which means the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, so that the variables of land area (X1), seeds (X2), Urea fertilizer (X3), NPK Fertilizer (X4), Pesticide (X5) and Labor (X6). Simultaneously (simultaneously) have a significant effect on lowland rice production in Palolo District, Sigi Regency Partially, the variables of Land Area, NPK seeds and fertilizers, Labor have a significant effect on rice production in Palolo District, Sigi Regency, while Pesticides and Urea Fertilizers have no effect significant effect on Paddy Rice Production, so it is said that there is an influence in increasing rice production in food security in Palolo District, Sigi Regency.
