Abstrak
This study aims to determine the strategy for developing Fish Floss products at IKM Citra Lestari Production (CLP) in Palu City. The research was conducted at IKM Citra Lestari Production Jl. Kimaja No. 09 Kel, Besusu Barat, Kec. Palu Timur, Palu City. The selection of the research location was determined intentionally (purposive) with the consideration that IKM CITRA Lestari Production is one of the tuna fish floss business managers in Palu City. This research was conducted in September 2022. The determination of respondents in this study was carried out intentionally (purposive) using questionnaires, interviews, and field observations. Internal respondents consisted of (1) the owner of IKM Citra Lestari Production, (2) people who work as production employees while external parties consisted of (3) people, namely 1 community as a consumer, 1 competitor, and 1 Industry & Trade office, with the consideration that respondents are very competent to provide information related to research activities. Data collection used in this study consists of primary data and secondary data. The analysis used in this study is SWOT analysis. IKM CLP obtained the following indicators: Strengths: Does not use preservatives, attractive product packaging, affordable product prices, has a variety of flavors. Opportunities: Advanced technological developments, government support, market availability, loyal customers. Weaknesses: Lack of labor, consumers find it difficult to obtain products, total production is not optimal, technology is inadequate. Threats: There are competing industries, limited raw materials, changing consumer tastes, decreasing purchasing power. From the Indicator, the results of the SWOT analysis show that the development of fish floss products at IKM Citra Lestari Production is in the SO strategy, namely quadrant I, where in this position it creates a strategy that uses strength to take advantage of opportunities, namely, utilizing technology and government support to expand the distribution of healthy products without preservatives and affordable prices, promoting flavor variants with attractive packaging to expand market reach with the results of calculations from internal and external factors, the results of the reduction of the total score of the strength factor and the total score of the weakness factor as the X axis are 0.19, while the results of the reduction of the total opportunity score with the total threat score as the Y axis are 0.3. The SWOT diagram shows the position of the development strategy in quadrant 1, namely (SO).Keywords: Fish Floss, Ikm, SWOT Development Strategy.
