| Abstrak ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is first to determine whether cocoa production is a basic or non-base sector in Sigi Regency. This is to determine the extent of the contribution of cocoa production to the Gross Regional Domestic Product in Sigi Regency. Based on LQ analysis, it can be seen that the LQ value of cocoa commodity during the last 11 (eleven) years with an average LQ value of 1.86 percent. From 2009-2019 LQ value> 1. This means that the cocoa commodity is a basic commodity or a source of growth. The cocoa commodity has the advantage that the results can not only meet the needs of the region concerned, but can also be exported outside the region of Sigi Regency. These export activities will make a major contribution in encouraging economic growth and increasing regional income so that farmers' activities or other economic activities will develop. The cocoa commodity has a contribution to the Gross Regional Domestic Product in Sigi Regency based on constant prices every year. The contribution of the cocoa commodity each year contributes an average of 12.07 percent from 2009 to 2019. The largest contribution of cocoa commodity in the formation of PDRB occurred in 2011, the cocoa commodity contributed the largest to PDRB based on constant prices, namely 21.98 percent and the lowest contribution to PDRB on a constant basis, namely in 2013 amounting to 8.50 percent. This shows that cocoa commodity production in Sigi Regency still contributes to the formation of the Gross Regional Domestic Product every year. Keywords : Contribution to cocoa production, a leading commodity ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pertama untuk mengetahui produksi kakao merupakan sektor basis atau non basis di Kabupaten Sigi. Untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kontribusi produksi kakao terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Bruto di Kabupaten Sigi. Berdasarkan analisis LQ dapat diketahui bahwa nilai LQ komoditi kakao selama 11 (sebelas) Tahun terakhir ini dengan nilai rata-rata LQ sebesar 1,86 persen. Dari Tahun 2009-2019 nilai LQ>1. Artinya komoditi kakao merupakan komoditi basis atau menjadi sumber pertumbuhan. Komoditi kakao memiliki keunggulan yang hasilnya tidak saja dapat memenuhi kebutuhan diwilayah bersangkutan, akan tetapi juga dapat diekspor ke luar wilayah Kabupaten Sigi. Kegiatan ekspor tersebut akan memberikan kontribusi besar yanga kana mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi serta meningkatkan pendapatan daerah sehingga kegiatan petani ataupun kegiatan ekonomi lainnya akan berkembang. Komoditi kakao memiliki kontribusi terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Bruto di Kabupaten Sigi atas dasar harga konstan setiap Tahunnya. Kontribusi komoditi kakao tiap Tahunnya memberikan kontribusi rata-rata sebesar 12,07 persen dari tahun 2009 hingga tahun 2019. Kontribusi terbesar komoditi kakao dalam pembentukan PDRB terjadi pada Tahun 2011 komoditi kakao memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap PDRB atas dasar harga konstan yaitu sebesar 21,98 persen dan kontribusi terendah terhadap PDRB atas dasar konstan yaitu pada tahun 2013 sebesar 8,50 persen. Hal ini menunjukan produksi komoditi kakao di Kabupaten Sigi masih memberikan kontribusi dalam pembentukan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto setiap Tahunnya.
