| Abstrak Horticulture as one of the agricultural sub-sectors which occupied the second place after food crop in the structure of GDP formation in the agricultural sector. The horticultural sub-sector shows an increasing trend towards GDP formation, especially vegetable production.Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are one of the leading vegetable commodities that have long been cultivated by farmers intensively. The respondents of this research were shallot farmers in Labuan Toposo Village, Labuan District, Donggala Regency. The number of samples are 38 from the total population of 62. The average area of land owned is 0.4 Ha. The average income of shallot farming is Rp. 16,800,000 from the average shallot production of 420 kg at a price of Rp. 40,000 / Kg. The average total cost spent is Rp.9.492.553., with an average shallot farming income of Rp. 7,293,803, while the average value of onion farming ratio is 1.78 or greater than 1 which means that each one rupiah issued by shallot farmers can generate income of 1.78 rupiah. |
