| Abstrak This study aims to determine the effect of various concentrations of KNO? on the growth and yield of melon plants (Cucumis melo L.) by utilizing a smart farming system. The experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University from May–August 2024 using a one-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with six levels of KNO? concentration treatment, namely K0 (control), K1 (850 ppm), K2 (1000 ppm), K3 (1150 ppm), K4 (1300 ppm), and K5 (1450 ppm). The results showed that the administration of KNO? at a concentration of 1000– 1150 ppm gave the best results in terms of fruit weight and diameter parameters, while a concentration of 1450 ppm increased the level of fruit sweetness (°Brix). It was concluded that the optimal dose of KNO? for melon cultivation in the smart farming system was in the range of 1000– 1150 ppm, with adjustments depending on the cultivation objectives (quantity or quality). |
