Abstrak Good and fertile soil is soil that is able to provide sufficient and balanced nutrients to be absorbed by plants. Soil comes from the weathering of rocks with the help of organisms, forming a unique body that covers the rocks. Cocoa plants are one of the plantation crops that are very suitable for planting in tropical areas, such as Indonesia. Based on the productivity and needs of the community for cocoa, cocoa plants are plants that have a high selling value. Therefore, cocoa plant cultivation needs to be continuously developed and improved in order to produce maximum and quality cocoa production. The purpose of this study is to describe the status of soil chemical properties and the level of cocoa production (Theobroma cacao L.) in Tomoli Village, Toribulu District, Parigi Moutong Regency. This research was conducted in South Tomoli Village, Toribulu District, Parigi Moutong Regency. The soil analysis was carried out at the Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University, Palu, from December 2024 to January 2025. The method used in this study was the direct field survey method, then soil samples were taken from 2 cocoa plantations located at the location, samples were taken at a depth of 5-20 cm. Each land was taken 5 samples of incomplete soil and the total number of samples was 10 soil samples. The results of the study of soil chemical properties and cocoa production levels in South Tomoli Village, Toribulu District, Parigi Moutong Regency showed: C - Organic has very low and low criteria with values of 0.72% and 1.02%. Soil pH is classified as slightly acidic to acidic, and KTK has very high and high criteria with values of 40.17 (cmol (+) kg-1) and 39.82 (cmol (+) kg-1) Keywords : Soil Chemical Properties, Cocoa Production |
