| Abstrak ABSTRAC Wilda (E 281 20 295) Effect of Mixed Media Composition of Corn Cob Powder and Sawdust on the Growth and Yield of White Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus L.) supervised by Mr. Ramli and Mr. Yohanis Tambing, 2024. Oyster mushroom is a type of wood mushroom that is commonly consumed by the people of Indonesia, has a fruit body that forms a shallow funnel like a shell. The medium for growing white oyster mushrooms is sawdust, rice bran and lime. Sawdust has lignin content and nutrients are needed for the growth of oyster mushrooms. The selection of bran that can be an alternative growing medium from mushrooms because it contains protein, cellulose, fiber, nitrogen, fat and P2 O5 for nutrients for oyster mushroom growth. This study aims to determine the effect of media composition of a mixture of corn cob powder and sawdust on the growth and yield of white oyster mushrooms. This research was carried out in the Lecturer Housing block D, Mantikulore District, Palu City. At the LS coordinate point: 0°50'57.823, N : 119°53'50.845. The research period starts from January to April 2024. The study was prepared using a Complete Random Design (RAL), with the following treatment: No corn cob powder+85% sawdust (A1), 45% corn cob powder+40% sawdust (A2), 55% corn cob powder+30% sawdust (A3), 65% corn cob powder+20% sawdust (A4) and 75% corn cob powder+10% sawdust (A5). The treatment was repeated 4 times so that 20 experimental units were obtained. Each experimental unit consists of 5 baglog media, so there are 100 baglogs. The results showed that the composition of the planting medium of 45% corn cob powder + 40% sawdust (A2) had an effect on the growth and yield of white oyster mushroom on all observation parameters, namely the time when the mycelium filled the baglog (HSI), the length of the mycelium (cm), the width of the hood (cm), the number of caps per baglog and the fresh weight (g).
