Abstrak Green beans are legumes that are needed by the community because they are rich in nutrients. The average content of dry green bean seeds consists of 60?65?rbohydrates, 25?28% protein, 3.5?4.5% fiber, and 1?1.5?t. This study aims to identify the diversity of insects in mung bean plants and classify the insects obtained based on their ecological function. This research was conducted from January 2023 to March 2023. This research was conducted using the method used in insect observation, namely scan sampling (Martin & Bateson 1993). The index of insect visitors to green bean plants was 4,062 individuals consisting of 21 genera/morphospecies with 16 families from 8 orders namely Diptera, Hymenoptera, Hemiptera, Orthoptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Blattodea/Blattellidae, and Ordonata. The Diptera order consists of 3 families, namely Tephritidae, Tachinidae, and Agromyzidae. The composition of the Ecological Role of Visiting Insects in the Mung Bean Ecosystem can be seen that insects that fight as pests/herbivores are very dominant with a percentage of 76.19%, and insects that act as predators 12.92%, insects that act as pollinators 6.20%, insects which acts as a decomposer 2.83%, and the smallest is found in insects that act as parasitoids 1.85%.
