Plant breeding is the right step to increase upland rice productivity. The genetic diversity coefficient is information that needs to be known to determine the genetic potential of upland rice before plant breeding activities are carried out. This research aims to determine the low to high genetic diversity coefficient and heritability values ??in several pure lines of local upland rice. This research was carried out on agricultural land in Tamarenja (Kalam) Village, Sindue District, Donggala Regency, at an altitude of 230 meters above sea level, with coordinates 00°26'51.5" South Latitude and 119°49'50.6" East Longitude. This research was structured using a randomized block design (RAK) with 6 cultivars as treatments, namely: 1). Pulu Tau Leru, 2). Pulu Konta, 3). Jahara, 4). Black and Yellow Calendar, 5). Black and White Calendar, and 6). Dongan, which was repeated 4 (four) times to obtain 24 experimental plots, each experimental plot contained 28 clumps for a total of 672 clumps. The results of this study show that the coefficient of genetic diversity is low, namely plant height, number of leaves, length of leaf blade, age at which the panicle emerges, age at harvest, number of grains per panicle and weight of 1000 grains, the coefficient of genetic diversity is moderate, namely the number of tillers, the number of productive tillers, empty grain percentage and per hectare production while the high genetic diversity coefficient value is found in panicle length. The low heritability values ??are the length of the leaf blade and the weight of 1000 grains, those with moderate heritability values ??are plant height, number of leaves, number of productive tillers, number of perennial grains, and percentage of empty grains. Meanwhile, heritability values ??with high criteria are found in the character of the number of tillers. , age of panicle exit, panicle length, harvest age and per hectare production.
