Abstrak Chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is one of the horticultural commodities that has a relatively high economic value in Indonesia. The low production of chili is partly caused by declining soil fertility, thus necessitating soil condition improvement through the addition of organic matter. Fertilization using manure can improve the physical and biological properties of the soil, such as increasing the activity of microorganisms in helping the decomposition process of organic matter. Each type of manure contains different nutrients. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the combination of types and doses of organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper. This research was conducted in Sidera village, Sigi Biromaru district, Sigi regency, Central Sulawesi. The research was carried out from July to September 2023. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a single-factor experiment with a combination treatment of types and doses of manure consisting of 12 treatments, namely: 1. Chicken manure, dose 5 tons/Ha, 2. Chicken manure, dose 10 tons/Ha, 3. Chicken manure, dose 15 tons/Ha, 4. Chicken manure, dose 20 tons/Ha, 5. Goat manure, dose 5 tons/Ha, 6. Goat manure, dose 10 tons/Ha, 7. Goat manure, dose 15 tons/Ha, 8. Goat manure, dose 20 tons/Ha, 9. Cow manure, dose 5 tons/Ha, 10. Cow manure, dose 10 tons/Ha, 11. Cow manure, dose 15 tons/Ha, 12. Cow manure, dose 20 tons/Ha. The treatment was repeated three times, resulting in 36 experimental units. The results of the variance analysis showed that the combination of types and doses of organic fertilizer on cayenne pepper plants had a significant effect on the parameter of productive branch number. The treatment combination of cow manure with a dose of 20 tons/ha tended to give higher results in all treatments. |
