Abstrak
The purpose of this study was to identify soil physical properties on cocoa land use at the Agricultural Technology Research and Assessment Installation (IP2TP) Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency. Soil sampling was carried out on a cocoa plantation. Sampling was determined based on the age of the plant. Sampling of intact soil and disturbed soil was 20 soil samples with 10 soil samples each. 5 samples on cocoa plants that are 20 years old and 5 samples on cocoa plants that are 25 years old. Soil analysis was carried out at the Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University, carried out from August to September 2021. The results showed that the soil texture on cocoa land had criteria, namely sandy loam, soil moisture content obtained the highest value of 23.45%, bulk density the soil obtained the highest value of 1.76 g/cm3 with the criteria of heavy soil permeability obtaining the highest value of 2.91 cm/hour with moderate criteria, and soil porosity obtaining the highest yield of 19.40% with very poor criteria. The conclusion of this research is that at the age of 20 years, the soil texture has the dominant criteria of loamy sand. The weight of the soil has a heavy criterion. Porosity has a very poor predominance criterion. Organic matter has moderate dominance criteria and permeability has moderate dominant criteria. Meanwhile, at the age of 25 years, the soil texture has criteria that are predominantly clay. The weight of the soil has a weight criterion. Porosity has a very poor predominance criterion. Organic matter has a moderate dominant criterion and permeability has a rather slow dominant criterion.
