Abstrak Pulut corn (Zea ceritina Kulesh) is a special type of corn that is increasingly popular and much needed by consumers and industry. Waxy corn has a delicious taste, more savory, fluffier and softer. The savory taste arises because the amylopectin content of pulut corn is very high that is, reaching 90%. New processed corn-based food creations have emerged, including instant corn rice, instant corn porridge and others. Pulut corn productivity is still low, between 2.0-2.5 tonnes/ha. The general problem faced is low production potential accompanied by conventional cultivation techniques and low land resource support. Efforts to increase the production of glutinous corn can be done through various agronomic measures, such as improving the plant growing environment through fertilization. Liquid organic fertilizer (POC) technology is an agricultural technology that has recently received a lot of attention. Many groups consider this fertilization technology to have strategic value because it has a very good effect on the carrying capacity of the land, such as providing nutrients, improving the biological and physical properties of the soil. This fertilization technology is experiencing rapid development, marked by a number of POC trademarks on the market. On the other hand, there are actually quite a lot of materials that can be made into POC. The differences in the content of each of these natural ingredients have the potential to have different effects on plants, so it is important to recognize the plant's response to a type of POC. Based on the description above, research was carried out on the use of various POCs on pulut corn plants. This research was carried out in Duyu Village, West Palu District, Palu City, Central Sulawesi from September to December 2022. This research was structured using a one-factor randomized block design (RAK) consisting of five treatments, namely No fertilizer, POC Cow urine, POC Ripe papaya, POC Banana weevil, and POC Tofu dregs. The five treatments were repeated four times to obtain 20 experimental units and each experimental unit was tested in an experimental plot measuring 2 x 2 m. The results of the research show that applying liquid organic fertilizer to pulut corn plants can actually cause better growth and yields for the plants. Pulut corn has a better response to tofu dregs POC. |
