Abstrak Soil fertility status is reflected in the nature of the soil. Fertile soil conditions are an absolute requirement to optimize plant growth and productivity, soil fertility is one of the important factors that must be considered in oil palm cultivation. This study aims to determine the status of soil fertility in the development of oil palm land in North Laemanta Village, Kasimbar District, Parigi Moutong Regency, for analysis of soil chemical properties carried out at the Laboratory of Soil Science Unit, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University, Palu. This research was conducted from February to March 2021. The method used in this study is a direct survey method where the researcher observes directly the condition of the land that will be used as the location of the soil sampling point. Soil sampling was determined at 5 points, where each point was taken as much as 3 points and then composited so that 5 soil samples were obtained. Data analysis was carried out using a descriptive method, which describes a situation that exists in the field based on the status of soil fertility at the research site. The results showed the degree of acidity (pH) of the soil from acidic to slightly acidic. The C-Organic value indicates that C-Organic is included in the high to very high criteria, with values ??ranging from 4.48 to 5.58. Phosphorus value (P-Total) is included in the high criteria with a value between 42.83 - 50.06. The value of Potassium (K-Total) is classified as low to moderate criteria with values ??ranging from 14.43 to 32.50. Base Saturation Value (KB) is classified as high criteria with values ??ranging from 51.59 to 64.62. The value of Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) is included in the low criteria with values ??ranging from 12.39 to 14.98. From the results of the analysis of the chemical properties of the soil above, it can be concluded that in general or the level of soil fertility at the research site is in a moderate to low state.
