Abstrak
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a high-value serelia plant in the world and is the main food source for more than a half of the world's population, rice is the staple food of Indonesian people in general. Central Sulawesi has local rice and superior germplasm collections. This research is for the value of genetic diversity and heritability of several local upland rice cultivars. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) with 7 cultivars as treatment, namely: K1 = Dongan, K2 = Buncaili, K3 = Pae Bohe, K4 = Uva Buya, K5 = Jahara, K6 = Pulu Tau Leru and K7 = Pulu Konta, which was repeated four times in order to obtain 28 experimental plots, where in each experimental plot there were 28 clumps and a total of 748 clumps. Research results The characters observed had a low coefficient of genetic diversity except for the number of grains / panicles, 1000 grain weight, and the production -1 which were classified as rather low, while the percentage of empty grain / panicle was classified as high. The characters of the number of leaves, age of panicle production, age of harvest, number of grains and weight of 1000 grains have high heritability and hopeful genetic progress.
