Abstrak ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2020 sampai bulan Maret 2021, bertempat di Desa Tiwaa Kecamatan Mori Utara Kabupaten Morowali Utara, Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktor, pengelompokan berdasarkan ukuran benih kakao, dengan perlakuan dosis kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit yang terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu T0 = Tanpa pemberian TKS (Kontrol), T1 = Tanah + TKS 25 g/polibag, T2 = Tanah + TKS 50 g/polibag, T3 = Tanah + TKS 75 g/polibag dan T4 = Tanah + TKS 100 g/polibag. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali sehingga diperoleh 25 unit percobaan. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 3 tanaman sehingga secara keseluruhan terdapat 75 tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan T4 = Tanah + TKS 100 g/polibag cenderung memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik dibanding perlakuan lainnya terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao pada semua parameter pengamatan kecuali parameter luas daun. Kata Kunci : kompos, tandan kosong kelapa sawit, bibit kakao. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of oil palm empty fruit bunch compost on the growth of cocoa seedlings. The research was carried out from December 2020 to March 2021, located in Tiwaa Village, North Mori District, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. This study used a one-factor Randomized Block Design (RAK) method, grouping based on the size of cocoa seeds, with a dose of oil palm empty fruit bunch compost treatment consisting of 5 levels, namely T0 = Without TKS (Control), T1 = Soil + TKS 25 g/ polybag, T2 = Soil + TKS 50 g/polybag, T3 = Soil + TKS 75 g/polybag and T4 = Soil + TKS 100 g/polybag. Each treatment was repeated 5 times to obtain 25 experimental units. Each treatment consisted of 3 plants so that in total there were 75 plants. The results showed that the treatment T4 = Soil + TKS 100 g/polybag tended to have a better effect than other treatments on the growth of cocoa seedlings on all observation parameters except leaf area parameters.
