Abstrak ABSTRACT Increasing the number of inhabitants in Indonesia led to the limited agricultural land so that the paddy fields become narrow and limited, the limited paddy fields caused agricultural production in Indonesia to decline while demand increased. Tidal land cultivation is still rarely performed due to the high salt content (NaCl). The purpose of this study is to obtain upland rice cultivars that are tolerant of salinity stress. The study was conducted in November to December 2019 at the Seed and Science Technology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tadulako. The study was arranged using a completely randomized design (CRD) of two factors where the first factor consisted of two levels, namely K1 = logi, K2 = tako, while the second factor consisted of five levels, namely N1 = 0.5%, N2 = 0.6%, N3 = 0.7%, N4 = 0.8%, N5 = 0.9% were repeated three times. The results showed that tako cultivars have a good tolerance to salinity stress compared to logi cultivars, tako cultivars have the fastest germination time and germination capacity above 80%. At a concentration of 0.5?n not inhibit the growth of upland rice, but at a concentration of 0.9?n inhibit the growth of upland rice. Keyword: Rice Gogo, and Salinity, Germination Phase ABSTRAK Peningkatan jumlah penduduk di Indonesia menyebabkan terbatasnya lahan pertanian sawah sehingga lahan sawah menjadi sempit dan terbatas, terbatasnya lahan sawah menyebabkan produksi pertanian di Indonesia menurun sedangkan permintaan meningkat. Budidaya dilahan pasang surut masih jarang dilakukan karena tingginya kandungan garam (NaCl). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh kultivar padi gogo yang toleran terhadap cekaman salinitas. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November sampai Desember 2019 di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tadulako. Penelitian disusun menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dua faktor dimana faktor pertama terdiri atas dua taraf yaitu K1 = logi, K2 = tako, sedangkan faktor kedua terdiri atas lima taraf, yaitu N1 = 0,5%, N2 = 0,6%, N3 = 0,7%, N4 = 0,8%, N5 = 0,9% yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kultivar tako memiliki toleransi yang baik pada cekaman salinitas dibanding kultivar logi, kultivar tako memiliki waktu berkecambah tercepat dan daya berkecambah diatas 80%. Pada konsentrasi 0,5% tidak dapat menghambat pertumbuhan padi gogo, namun pada konsentrasi 0,9?pat menghambat pertumbuhan padi gogo. Kata Kunci: Padi Gogo, Salinitas, Fase Perkecambahan |
