Abstrak
This study aims to obtain the right concentration of cytokinins at each soaking time to increase the viability of cocoa seeds after storage. To get the right concentration of cytokinins to increase the viability of cocoa seeds after storage. To get the best soaking time to increase the viability of cocoa seeds after storage. Seed technology, faculty of agriculture, tadulako university. The implementation time starts from November to December 2019. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) which consistend of two factors. First the concentration of cytokinins of 4 levels, namely K0) control, K1) 75 ppm, K2) 150 ppm, K3) 225 ppm. The second factor is the immersion time (L) which consists 4 levels, namely control L0), 12 hours immersion L1), 24 hours immersion L2), 36 hours immersion L3). The are 16 treatment combinations, each treatment combination is repeated 3 times so that 48 experimental units are obtained. The results showed that the concentration of cytokinin 75 ppm and soaking time of 24 hours gave high viability of cocoa seeds after stprage. Cytokinin concentration of 75 ppm gave high viability of cocoa seeds and had germination power of 98,33%. Soaking time for 24 hours gave viability of cocoa seeds on seed moisture content. Germination, growth potential, germination speed, plumule length, root volume and dry weight. Key words: cocoa, cytokinin, soaking time
