Abstrak This study aims to determine the growth of pepper cuttings seeds due to the use of the level of maturity of coconut water and the number of cuttings. This research was conducted in the village of Kamarora in Palolo sub-district, Central Sulawesi, from October to December 2019. The research was carried out experimentally using a 3 x 3 factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 3 replications. Then each experimental unit uses 3 plants, so that there are 81 experimental units. The first factor is the level of maturity of coconut water (K) consisting of 3 levels, namely k1 = young coconut water, k2 = half old coconut water, k3 = old coconut water. The second factor is the number of cuttings (S) consisting of 3 levels, namely s1 = cuttings of one segment, s2 = cuttings of two segments, s3 = cuttings of three segments. The results showed that increasing the number of sections in each maturity of coconut water or decreasing the level of maturity of coconut water in each number of sections will produce the longest roots, soaking cuttings with young coconut water can produce the fastest growth in the speed of sprout growth, shoot length, number of shoots, number of leaves , stem diameter, root length, root volume and percentage of live cuttings, three section cuttings can produce the fastest growth of shoot growth speed, shoot height, number of shoots, number of leaves, stem diameter, root length, root volume and percentage of live cuttings. |
