| Abstrak Fitri Ardianti Rukmana A. Hi. Mide (E281 15 401) (Effect of Mulch Type Against Growth and Yield of Red Chili (Capsicum annum L.). (Supervised by Abdul Syakur, 2022) Red chili (Capsicum annum L.) is a type of important horticultural crops that are cultivated commercially, this is because in addition to chili has a fairly complete nutritional content as well has a high economic value which is widely used both for consumption household and for the food industry. The purpose of this research to see the potential of organic and inorganic mulch in increasing growth and yield of red chili (Capsicum annum L.). This research carried out in the Dondo sub-district, Ratolindo sub-district, Tojo Una Regency – una. This research was conducted from September to November 2019. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) repeated with 3 The test consists of: M0 = Without using Mulch (control), M1 = Mulch rice straw, M2 = Coconut leaf mulch, M3 = Corn straw mulch, M4 = Mulch silver plastic, M5 = Black plastic mulch. Thus there are 6 treatments which was repeated 3 times so that there were 18 (eighteen) experimental units.The results of this study indicate that the silver plastic mulch treatment give a good influence on the growth of red chili if compared to the treatment without mulch. |
