Abstrak Pulut corn is the main food commodity after rice which has a strategic role in the development of agriculture and the economy in Indonesia. However, the constraints faced in the production of pulut corn are the continuous planting of local varieties, inappropriate fertilization, and less than optimal cultivation techniques. One way to increase corn production is to use better technology, use superior seeds, good soil management, good irrigation water regulation, use of manure and eradication of pests and diseases. The objectives of this study were: to determine the appropriate dose of chicken manure on the growth and production of maize pulut. This research was conducted from February to July 2020 in Toliba Village, West Tojo District, Tojo Una-Una Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The tools and materials used are hand tractors, hoes, meters, writing instruments, cameras, the materials used are arumba pulut corn seeds, and chicken manure. This research was arranged using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with one factor, namely: organic fertilizer concentration consisting of 6 levels, namely: P0 = 0 kg/plot, P1 = 6 kg/plot, P2 = 9 kg/plot, P3 = 12 kg/plot, P4= 15 kg/plot, P5= 18 kg/plot so that there were 6 trials, each treatment was repeated 4 times so that 24 trials were obtained. Based on the results of the research that has been obtained in this study, it is concluded that the application of chicken manure at a dose of 30 tons ha-1 has been proven to significantly increase the growth and production of pulut corn plants. |
