| Abstrak ABSTRACT Sawi (Brassica juncea L.) is one of the foodstuffs that the body needs to support a healthy lifestyle. Sawi is a vegetable that is quite popular with the people of Indonesia. This shows that from the social aspect, the community has accepted the presence of sawi greens for daily consumption, but in the cultivation of mustard plants there are several obstacles that can cause a decrease in production, one of which is pest attack. The pest that often damages the sawi plant is Plutella xylostella. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of extracts of maja fruit (Aegle marmelos) on the intensity of attack and the population of Plutella xylostella L. pests on mustard plants. This research was conducted at the Plant Pest Laboratory, Plant Pest Screening House, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University-Palu. This research was carried out in the sawi garden area of farmers in Sidera Village, Biromaru District, Sigi Regency and was carried out from September to October 2019. The maja fruit extract was made by dividing the old maja fruit and then taking its contents and storing it in a closed container. and left for 3 days. Then the maja fruit is squeezed and filtered and the extract is taken. Maja fruit extract was applied at the age of the plant 9 DAP to 15 days, followed by 6 days 21 DAP at 6 days interval. Its application is by spraying a solution of maja fruit extract with a concentration of P1 10%, P2 20%, P3 30%, P4 40%, P5 50%, P6 60%. Each treatment was repeated three times and the control comparison used a handsprayer. Observation variables were symptoms of pest attack, pest population and intensity of pest attack Plutella xylostella L. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that maja fruit extract application was very effective in controlling caterpillar pest populations and intensity of Plutella xylostella L. Extract solution concentration 30 % more effective and efficient in suppressing/inhibiting the population of caterpillars and the intensity of Plutella xylostella L. attacks by comparison of controls. ABSTRAK Sawi (Brassica juncea L.) adalah salah satu bahan pangan yang dibutuhkan tubuh dalam menunjang pola hidup sehat. Sawi merupakan sayuran yang cukup digemari oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dari aspek sosial, masyarakat sudah menerima kehadiran sawi untuk dikonsumsi sehari-hari, namun dalam pembudidayaan tanaman sawi memiliki beberapa kendala yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan produksinya, salah satunya yaitu serangan larva . larva yang sering merusak tanaman sawi adalah Plutella xylostella. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan ekstrak buah maja (Aegle marmelos) terhadap intensitas serangan dan populasi larva Plutella xylostella L. pada tanaman sawi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Hama Tumbuhan, Rumah Kasa Hama Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Tadulako-Palu. Penelitian ini dilaksnakan pada pada areal pertanaman sawi petani di Desa Sidera, Kecamatan Biromaru, Kabupaten Sigi dan dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai Oktober tahun 2019. Pembuatan ekstrak buah maja dilakukan dengan cara buah maja yang telah tua dibelah kemudian diambil isinya dan disimpan di dalam wadah tertutup dan didiamkan selama 3 hari. Kemudian buah maja diperas dan disaring dan diambil ekstraknya. Ekstrak buah maja diaplikasian pada umur tanaman 9 HST sampai dengan 15 hari dilanjutan dengan interval 6 hari 21 HST dengan interval waktu 6 hari sekali. Pengaplikasiannya dengan cara menyemprotkan larutan ekstrak buah maja dengan kosentrasi P1 10%, P2 20%, P3 30%, P4 40%, P5 50%, P6 60%. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali dan pembanding kontrol menggunaan handsprayer. Variabel pengamatan yaitu gejalah serangan hama, populasi hama dan intensitas serangan hama Plutella xylostella L. Berdasarkan hasil penelitin ini dapat di simpulkan bahwa aplikasi estrak buah maja sangat efektif dalam pengendalian populasi larva dan intensitas serangan hama Plutella xylostella L. Kosentrasi larutan estrak buah maja 30% lebih efektif dan efisien dalam menekan/menghambat populasi larva dan intensitas serangan larva Plutella xylostella L. dengan pembanding kontrol.
