Abstrak Abstrack Liquefaction can cause deterioration of soil physico-mechanical properties. Plant root growth, availability of soil water and ease of the soil tillage are low as a result of liquefaction. The research objective was to identify some of the physico-mechanical properties of the soil on liquefied agricultural lands. The soil survey was conducted in the village of Sibalaya Lembah Palu using a purposive sampling technique. The dominant land use for agricultural development that was carried out before the liquefaction disaster was used as a basis for consideration in selecting a location for soil sampling. There were 12 soil sampling points which were repeated 3 times. The results showed that liquefaction caused a variety of surface soil textures ranging from sandy loam to clay. Bulk density and soil porosity are classified as heavy and bad. The hydraulic conductivity of saturated soil is somewhat slow - very slow. The water content of the field capacity is 16.31% - 26.49% and the soil plasticity is low - high. Pertumbuhan akar tanaman, ketersediaan air tanah dan kemudahan tanah untuk diolah menjadi rendah sebagai akibat terjadinya likuifaksi. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi beberapa sifat fisika-mekanik tanah pada lahan pertanian yang mengalami likuifaksi. Survai tanah di lakukan di desa Sibalaya Lembah Palu menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penggunaan lahan dominan untuk pengembangan pertanian yang dikerjakan sebelum terjadi bencana likuifaksi digunakan sebagai dasar pertimbangan pemilihan lokasi pengambilan sampel tanah. Terdapat 12 titik pengambilan sampel tanah yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa likufaksi menyebabkan terjadinya keragaman tekstur tanah permukaan berkisar pada kategori lempung berpasir – liat. Bobot isi dan porositas tanah tergolong berat dan jelek. Konduktivitas hidraulik tanah jenuh tergolong agak lambat – sangat lambat. Kadar air kapasitas lapang 16,31 % – 26,49 ?n plastisitas tanah tergolong rendah - tinggi. Kata Kunci: Lembah Palu, Likuifaksi, Sifat Fisika-Mekanik Tanah. |
