| Abstrak This study The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various types of organic mulch on the growth and yield of shallots of the Palu valley variety. This research was carried out in April to August 2018 in the yard of Tlototutu Street, Talise Village, Central Sulawesi Province. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with the following treatments M0 = no mulch (control), M1 = gamal leaf mulch 1 kg / plot (5 tons / ha), M2 = johar leaf mulch 1 kg / plot (5 tons / ha), M3 = rice husk mulch 1 kg / plot (5 tons / ha), M4 = rice leaf mulch 1 kg / plot (5 tons / ha). Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so that there were 15 experimental units. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), fresh weight of clump plants (g), number of tubers (cm) of clumps. Data were analyzed using variance (Anova) and continued with the Honestly Significant Difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the administration of rice leaf mulch gave the best growth and yield of shallots compared to other mulches. Keywords: Shallots, Organic mulch, Growth. |
