Abstrak
Refugia is a type of plant that can provide shelter, food sources, or other resources for natural enemy insects such as predatory and parasitoid insects. The existence of refugia plants can be used as a host for natural enemies, can maintain community diversity, provide natural food, make natural enemy shelters, and use selective pesticides. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of refugia plants on pest populations with a jajar legowo and symmetrical cropping system in rice cultivation, to analyze the effect of refugia plants on natural enemies of rice plant pests with a jajar legowo and symmetrical cropping system, and to analyze the production of rice plants with a jajar legowo and symmetrical cropping system. The results of the research show that the use of refugia and cropping systems have a significant effect on the main pest populations, especially the pest Nephotettix verescens and the populations of natural enemies Hadronotus leptocorisae and Solenopsis geminata. N. verence pest populations are different without refugia but indifferent on refugia for both Marigolds and Kenikir and different on symmetrical cropping systems but indifferent on jajar legowo. Marigold refugia treatment in the jajar legowo cropping system resulted in more H. leptocorisae populations compared to the Kenikir refugia treatment and without refugia, symmetrical cropping system without refugia, Kenikir refugia, and Marigold refugia. Kenikir refugia in the jajar legowo cropping system produced more Temnohoras sp populations compared to the treatment without refugia and Marigold refugia, a symmetrical cropping system with no refugia, Kenikir refugia, and Marigold refugia. Refugia and cropping systems have a significant effect on production, where each refugia treatment in the jajar legowo cropping system obtained higher production in contrast to the symmetrical cropping system. The highest average production is in the treatment of Kenikir refugia in the jajar legowo cropping system at 4.62 tons/ha. The highest average number of panicles, 1000 grain weight and panicle length in the jajar legowo cropping system are the number of panicles 367.67, the weight of 1000 grains 37.722 and the panicle length 23.36. The highest average production is in the treatment of Kenikir refugia in the jajar legowo cropping system at 4.62 tons/ha.
