| Abstrak Citra Wardani D10120273, Implementation of Protection of Suspects' Rights in the Investigation Process at Mantikulore Police Sector, Mentor I: Kamal, Mentor II: Awaliah The purpose of this thesis writing is to find out how the protection of suspects' rights in the investigation process by the police in the legal area of Mantikulore Police Sector. The rights of suspects are regulated by law; these rights can be used by suspects from the beginning of their arrest by investigators. In carrying out their duties, the police uphold the law and human rights. What factors become obstacles faced by investigators in the implementation of the protection of suspects' rights in the investigation process at Mantikulore Police Sector? The research method is descriptive, using empirical legal research type, and the sampling technique is conducted using purposive sampling. Data source analysis is obtained from primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques are conducted through interviews, both structured and unstructured, with members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Mantikulore Police Sector, and also conducting document studies and data analysis related to the research. Based on the research results, it is known that the investigators of Mantikulore Police Sector have provided protection for suspects' rights in the investigation process by referring to the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). However, it has not been done well or comprehensively by each personnel; this is done by certain individuals, whereas, as we know, the position of a suspect is not guilty because of the principle of presumption of innocence. In this case, the suspect is informed of their rights, including the right to legal counsel and protection from arbitrary treatment, before being examined. The inhibiting factors faced by investigators in the implementation of the protection of suspects' rights in the investigation process within the Mantikulore Police environment include law enforcement factors, cultural factors, community factors, and issues related to facilities and infrastructure.
