This is because humans live not forever, at one time humans will leave everything including property. the property left behind often becomes a family problem in connection with the distribution of inheritance or heirlooms, it will be more complicated when among the heirs want to control the inheritance, so that the impact is detrimental to others. How to obtain inheritance through Pa Tallang according to Toraja customary law To find out how to obtain inheritance through Pa' tallang according to Toraja Customary Law. The system of inheritance distribution in Toraja customary law is closely related to the process of death. Therefore, to get the data needed in this research, an empirical method is needed. Based on the results of the research it is known that the way to obtain inheritance through pa tallang according to Toraja customary law is to make a sacrifice to the heir in the form of buffalo or pig for the death ceremony of the heir. In inheriting as a reward or pa'tallang, it is known that the inheritance property is classified as livelihood property, which in general is the property obtained by the husband and wife during the marriage bond. People who become heirs do not just happen, but because they are based on kinship relations.
