Abstrak
The service industry is becoming increasingly competitive, requiring employees to demonstrate extra-role behaviors beyond their formal duties, known as Service-Oriented Organizational Citizenship Behavior (SOOCB), which is significantly influenced by well-being and psychological characteristics. Employee Well-being is believed to indirectly promote SOOCB through Core Self Evaluation (CSE), reflecting individuals' positive beliefs, while the role of Collectivist tendencies also determines the direction and strength of this relationship. However, there is still limited research that comprehensively integrates these four variables into a single framework, especially in a multicultural context like Palu City. This study aims to analyze the mediating role of Core Self Evaluation in the relationship between Employee Well-Being and SOOCB, as well as to examine the moderating effect of Collectivist tendencies on employees in service companies. A quantitative approach was employed using SmartPLS 4 software. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with a population of 61 service companies from various fields and a total of 557 respondents. The results indicate that Employee Well-being has a positive and significant impact on Service-Oriented Organizational Citizenship Behavior (SOOCB). Core Self Evaluation mediates the relationship between Employee Well-Being and SOOCB, suggesting that employee well-being fosters positive self-evaluations, thereby enhancing Service-Oriented Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Collectivist tendencies negatively moderate the relationship between Employee Well-Being and SOOCB, indicating that the influence of well-being on SOOCB weakens for individuals with high collectivist orientations. However, Collectivist tendencies do not moderate the relationship between Core Self Evaluation and SOOCB, demonstrating that the influence of self-evaluation as a fundamental personality trait is consistent and stable across cultural contexts.
