| Abstrak The writing of of this thesis was under the guidance of Mr.Syamsuddin. This study aims to determine and analyze the maintenance costs of heavy equipment that have been implemented by Cv.Indah Karya Mandiri in achieving cost efficiency. This study uses qualitative methods by means of interviews and direct observations in the company, and uses quantitative methods in the form of statistic and mathematics as a tool to help decide which maintenance policy will be taken at a certain time period and the measurement of efficiency using descriptive percentages. The results of this study indicate that, by using the preventive maintenance policy method on the Komatsu Excavator and the CAT 320D Exavator, the lowest (minimum) pereventive maintenance costs for the Komatsu Exavator occur in the twelfth month, which is Rp.7,829.023. and for the CAT 320D Exavator the lowest (minimum) preventive maintenance cost occurred in the twelfth month, which was Rp.5,029,112. Cost efficiency analysis for the Komatsu Exavator is Rp.4.761.932 with an efficiency value of 33.81%, and for the CAT 320D Exavator the repair cost is Rp.2,908,464. With an efficiency value of 40.04%, according to the efficiency table which states that if the calculation results are below 60%, it is said to be very efficient.
