Abstrak This research aims to identify the framing by CNNIndonesia.com in reporting the agrarian conflict in Wadas Village, Central Java. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach analyzed using the framing analysis model by Zhondang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, which has four major structures for analysis: Syntactic, Script, Thematic, and Rhetorical. The results of this study indicate that, in the syntactic structure, the headlines often highlight the difficulties faced by the residents of Wadas. Sources who support the views of the Wadas residents are always featured in the lead of the news. In the script structure, the news on CNNIndonesia.com focuses on the 'what' element, detailing what the Wadas residents experienced and what actions the police took, as well as the 'how' element, explaining how the events occurred. In the thematic structure, the news predominantly highlights the victim's side, namely the residents of Wadas Village. The paragraph flow always uses the same concept, starting with an explanation of the difficulties and challenges faced by the Wadas residents and ending with statements or clarifications from the police. In the rhetorical structure, the news often selects words that emphasize the condition of the Wadas residents and repeats words regarding the actions of the police. The photos used in the news are not directly related to the events but serve more as illustrations. The conclusion of this study is that the news displayed by CNNIndonesia.com tends to focus on the events and actions taken by the police against the Wadas residents, giving the impression of cornering the police and supporting the Wadas residents. |
