There is a provision that mandates political parties to include at least 30% women representation to provide opportunities for women to participate in holding legislative seats. The level of women's participation from year to year is increasing, but seen from the level of electability it has decreased, from 10 women in the 2014-2019 period to 8 women in the 2019-2024 period. This research aims to find out and understand how the level of women's electability in the legislative elections of the Regional People's Representative Assembly of Polewali Mandar district for the 2019-2024 period. This research uses the theory of differences in treatment between women and men by Elly. M. Setiadi and Usman Kolip. It was a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The data were collected through the interview technique. The results of the research show that the level of electability of women in the legislative body of Regional People's Representative Assembly of Polewali Mandar district is greatly influenced by the family environment such as financial or family background, educational environment such as intellectual and work environment in the political structure so that the factor of the low level of electability of women is mainly influenced by the non-fulfillment of aspects of the family environment, such as family support in terms of financial ability or family background, If we look at the women who are elected on average, they fulfill several aspects existing, where one another is related. Based on this, the decline in the electability level of women who participate in legislative elections is due to the failure to achieve some of the existing aspects, if one of these aspects is not achieved then it affects the level of electability in the election and is constrained by the strong patriarchal culture that exists in society and the lack of providing women's political education to society. Keywords: Women's participation, gender, the legislative body of Regional People's Representative Assembly
