| Abstrak Abstract This study explores the rice farming system in Dolago Padang Village, Parigi Selatan Sub-district, Parigi Moutong Regency, which integrates local knowledge with modern agricultural technologies. The research is grounded in the issue of dynamic farming practices from seeding to post-harvest stages that combine traditional heritage and innovations acquired through extension programs and experience. The novelty of this research lies in its in-depth examination of the knowledge system employed by farmers, how it is transmitted and acquired, and how farmers adapt to social, economic, and environmental conditions. This descriptive qualitative study involved purposive sampling with four informants. The findings reveal that the rice farming system includes the selection of superior rice varieties, variations in planting methods, fertilizer composition tailored to crop growth stages, pest management using both local knowledge and chemical solutions, and flexible use of harvest and post-harvest machines depending on weather conditions. These findings contribute to understanding the adaptive and context-specific transformation of rural agricultural practices. |
