| Abstrak The Effectiveness of Transactional Analysis Techniques Through Group Guidance Services to Improve Interpersonal Communication of Grade X IPA Students of SMA Negeri 8 Palu. Skripsi. Guidance and Counselling Study Program. Education Science Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Tadulako University. Under the supervision of Mardi Lestari. The main problem of this research is the condition of students' interpersonal communication who lack the confidence to express opinions or raise questions, introverted personality, respect deficit, fears of public speaking. The research objective is to explain the effectiveness of transactional analysis techniques through group guidance to improve students' interpersonal communication. The research subjects were six people, and the main research instrument is a questionnaire on interpersonal communication. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Hypothesis testing was carried out through statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test formula at the 95% confidence level (? = 0.05). The results of the descriptive analysis showed that level of students' interpersonal communication before attending the group guidance service with transactional analysis techniques are two students (EE and ST) at a moderate level, three students (HF, MN, and ES) at a low level, and one student (KN) at a very low level. After participating in the group guidance session, students' interpersonal communication improves four students (HF, EE, MN, and ST) at a moderate level and two students (ES and KN) at a low level. There is a difference in students' interpersonal communication before and after attending the group guidance service with transactional analysis techniques. The results showed that the technique of transactional analysis through group guidance services is effective to improve interpersonal communication of grade X IPA students of SMAN 8 Palu.
