Abstrak ABSTRACT Devi Megasuari, 2021 . "The Correlation of Height, Body Weight and Leg Length to the Speed of 50-meter Freestyle (Crawl) Swimming in Swimming Athletes in Palu City." Physical Education, Health and Recreation, Tadulako University. Supervised by Marhadi, S.Si,. M.Pd. This study aims to determine the relationship between height, weight and leg length on the ability to swim 50 meters freestyle in swimming athletes in the city of Palu. This study is a quantitative study using test and measurement methods, the sample in the study amounted to 10 people from the Palu City swimming club. The measurement technique used is a test for measuring height, weight and leg length. The results showed that there was no relationship between height and the speed of the 50 meter freestyle swimming with a significance level obtained more than 0.05, namely 0.090 ? 0.05. There is no relationship between body weight and the speed of 50 meters freestyle swimming with a significance level of 0.061? 0.05. There is a relationship between the length of the legs and the speed of the 50 meter freestyle swimming as evidenced by the significance level obtained, namely 0.016 ? 0.05. There is a relationship between height, weight and leg length on the speed of 50 meter freestyle swimming in swimming athletes in the city of Palu simultaneously, as evidenced by the calculated F value ? F table (4,762 ? 4.35) with a significance value obtained of 0.050 ? 0.05. Then it can be stated that it is related or correlated, with a coefficient of determination R square of 0.704 this means that the level of closeness in this study is 70.4%. Meanwhile, based on the T table value, it is known that the significance value between X1 (height) to Y (swimming speed) is 0.128, the significance of X2 (weight) to Y (swimming speed) is 0.191 and the significance of X3 (leg length) to Y (swimming speed). ) is 0.044. And based on the T value, it is known that the calculated T value for the variable X1 (Height) = 1.763, X2 (Weight) = - 1.473 and X3 (Length of the leg) = -2.548 ? 2.36462. Thus it can be concluded that there is no significant effect. Keywords: Height. Weight. Leg Length. Swimming Speed 50 Meters. |
