Abstrak ABSTRACT Putri Indah (2022), "The Influence of Number Card Media on Children's Cognitive Ability in Group B of PAUD Harapan Bunda, Sidoan Subdistrict, Parigi Moutong District". Undergraduate Thesis. Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program, Education Science Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University. Supervised by Fitriana and Amrullah. This study focuses on the problem of children's cognitive abilities that have not developed as expected. In connection with these problems, this study aims to determine the relationship between the uses of number card media on children's cognitive abilities. This study is quantitative with a descriptive research type. The sample in the study was 15 children consisting of 7 males and 8 females registered in the 2020/2021 school year. Data collection techniques were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and assignment. Data were processed using the percentage technique. The results show that there is a relationship between number card media on children's cognitive abilities when viewed in three aspects, namely the aspect of the ability to sort objects from the smallest to the largest, the aspect of the ability to match numbers with pictures of objects, and the aspect of classifying objects according to color, shape, and size. In the ability to sort numbers from the smallest to the largest, there are 20% in the very well developing category, 46.67% in the developed as expected category, 20% in the developing category, and 13.33% in the undeveloped category. Then in the aspect of the ability to match numbers with pictures of objects, there are 20% in the very well developing category, 40% in the developed as expected category, 20% in the developing category, and 20% in the undeveloped category. Finally, in classifying objects according to color, shape, and size, 20% are in the very well developing categories, 40% in the developing as expected categories, 20% in the developing categories, and 20% in the undeveloped category. So it can be concluded that children's cognitive abilities can be increased through the media of number cards. Therefore, there is an influence of the media number card on children's cognitive abilities. Keywords: Numbers Media, Cognitive Ability |
