Abstrak
The main problem in this study is the development of language children have not developed according to expectations. This study aims to describe children’s language development in group B TK Catholic Santa Maria Goretti Palu. The method used is quantitative descriptive. The research subjects were 15 children, consisting of 7 boys and 8 girls, registered in 2018/2019. Data collection techniques are done through observation, interviews and documentation. Analyzed data by descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. Before giving treatment, the results of research on the development of language children in the aspects of mastery of vocabulary, answering questions, and asking questions category of Very Good Development (BSB) (13.33%), Developing as Expectations (BSH) (15.55%), Starting to Develop (MB) (33.36%), Not Developing (BB) (37.76%). After giving treatment, the results of research on the development of language children in the aspects of mastery of vocabulary, answering questions, and asking questions there was an increase in the category of Very Good Development (BSB) (28.89%), Developing as Expectations (BSH) (37.77%), Starting to Develop (MB) (33.34%), Not Developing (BB) (0%). The statistical test result of average value before treatment 6.07% and after treatment reached 8.87%. And the results of the T test that is t count 7.359 > t table 1.761, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an influence of role play methods on language skills of children in group B TK Katolik Santa Maria Goretti Palu
