Abstrak
This study aims to analyze the innovative leadership of the school principal in implementing educational quality management at SD Inpres Makapa A, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of how innovative leadership practices contribute to the development of a sustainable quality management system in elementary education. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, involving the principal, teachers, and staff as key participants. The findings indicate that the principal demonstrates strong innovative leadership characterized by creativity, openness to change, participatory decision-making, and encouragement of collaboration among all school members. The results of the questionnaire analysis show that 95.6% of respondents strongly agreed that the principal’s leadership had a positive impact on the school’s quality management implementation. Qualitative data further reveal that the principal fosters a dynamic and participatory work culture, motivates teachers through continuous guidance, and integrates innovation into planning, execution, and evaluation processes. Moreover, the principal’s role in building shared vision, empowering teachers, and promoting technological adaptation proved essential in realizing the eight dimensions of the National Education Standards. The study concludes that innovative leadership significantly enhances the effectiveness of educational quality management and creates a culture of continuous improvement at SD Inpres Makapa A. These findings provide practical implications for developing leadership models in elementary schools that are creative, adaptive, and aligned with 21st-century educational demands.
