Abstrak
ABSTRAK Riza Muzdalifa, 2025. Analisis Peran Kepala Sekolah dalam Upaya Implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) di SD Inpres 1 Tondo. Skripsi, Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Jurusan Ilmu Pendidikan, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Tadulako. Pembimbing (1) Dr. Yusdin Bin M. Gagaramusu, Lc.,M.Ed (2) Kadek Hariana M.Pd. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran kepala sekolah dalam implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) di SD Inpres 1 Tondo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif. Penelitian difokuskan pada tiga aspek utama, yaitu: fungsi kepala sekolah, strategi kepala sekolah dalam implementasi MBS, serta hambatan yang dihadapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menjalankan berbagai fungsi strategis, seperti edukator, manajer, administrator, supervisor, inovator, motivator, dan pemimpin. Strategi kepala sekolah antara lain melibatkan guru dalam pengambilan keputusan, melakukan supervisi rutin, serta mendorong kolaborasi antara seluruh komponen sekolah. Adapun hambatan yang dihadapi meliputi kurangnya partisipasi aktif warga sekolah, keterbatasan pelatihan, dan kendala koordinasi internal. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran kepala sekolah sangat menentukan keberhasilan implementasi MBS dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan dasar. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach. The focus is on three key aspects: the functions of the principal, the strategies used in implementing SBM, and the obstacles encountered. The results indicate that the principal carries out multiple strategic roles including educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, innovator, motivator, and leader. The strategies involve teacher participation in decision-making, regular supervision, and promoting collaboration among all school components. The obstacles found include limited stakeholder participation, insufficient training, and internal coordination challenges. In conclusion, the principal’s role is crucial in ensuring the effective implementation of SBM to improve the quality of education at the primary school level.
